Is 2.1.1 released? [message #87602] Wed, 02 July 2003 14:50 Go to next message

2.1.1 was expected to get released on June 27 but was delayed to July 2. On
the downloads page I see a release version of 2.1.1 listed. However, it
lists the build date as June 27. Is this the real release? Is the date
listed incorrect?
Thanks

The way these things work is that the build is made (in this case on the
27th), then each component lead verifies that the build satisfies each
component's sanity check. Only then is the build ordained a release. It
can take a couple days for all the component teams to verify the build.

Follow the eclipse-dev mailing list if you're interested in watching this
process. It's kinda fun ;-)
