What have you tried so far? I've never tried it, but if EMF Search builds upon EMF standard APIs it will probably work,
probably not very efficient with a remote backend.

Eike,

I did some work related with this, but I would not encourage anyone to
use it, it is quite abandoned right now, and I had to customize some
code to make it work well with CDO. And yes, quite inefficient when
dealing with big models.

We already dropped it from our products some time ago.

Cheers,
Víctor.

With "it" you certainly mean EMF Search, not CDO :P

I just started evaluating technologies, nothing written yet.

is EMF search a dead project? What is the current best practice then to search EMF models? Query2?

You're more likely to get good replies if you start a new thread with a respective subject ;-)

If you only want to search interactively, the OCLinEcore editor gives
you a textual view that allows standard text searching.

Programmatically OCL or Query2 are options.
