The Eclipse components (Workspace, configuration, etc...) can be placed in
a variety of locations. I understand how to gather these locations during
runtime, but how does one know which configuration directory points to
which Eclipse Instance when that Eclipse runtime is not running?

Thanks in advanced!

Hi,

Can you give more details on your requirement? I'm not sure what you
mean by "Eclipse Instance". To me an Eclipse Instance is a currently
running eclipse platform. If it is not running there is no longer an
instance. A currently running eclipse instance may have a number of
data locations areas (i.e. configuration, instance, user, install etc).

Do you want to find out what all the data area locations are for a given
eclipse installation/configuration?

Tom.
