Keeping models in sync [message #85756] Wed, 02 July 2008 10:34 Go to next message

I am just wondering whether it's possible to keep source and target
models in sync.

For instance, I transform some elements from UML Use Case diagram to UML
activity model. Now I add some elements in the activity diagram. This
added elements should also be availabe in the UML Use Case diagram.

Is there support in ATL or QVTO that will help to keep models in sync ?

Thanks for any suggestions in advance,

Deepak

Hi Deepak,

As for QVTO, Operational QVT restricts to a single direction
transformation by design,
check the OMG spec 6.3 Execution Scenarios.

Using QVT Relations supports bi-directional transformation.

I'm not sure about ATL ;-) so this answers only part of the question.

Regards,
/Radek
