Iam trying to install svn on Eclipse Galileo,

steps what i did:

Help - >install new software. selected
Galileo - site -download.eclipse.org/releases/galileo from dropdown named 'Work With'

Tried to add the site, www.polarion.org/projects/subversive/download/eclipse/2.0/update-site/

it gives same error , no repository found.
Not sure what the problem is.

I want to setup svn on my eclipse.
Not able to follow the steps which i find online, as i get these errors.
Please help.

Thanks.
Adithi

Originally (4 years ago), I used Subversive, but of late (the last
couple of years), I don't find it works and I shifted to Subclipse.
Here's what I'm doing:

Hi,

For any url I was giving, it gives me the same error: no repository found (either it is subversive or subclipse).

I tried several ways and have it installed in eclipse.

This is how i got :
Instead of adding this site in install updates option , subclipse.tigris.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=2240

I opened the url, downloaded a stable zip file (site-1.8.3.zip ) in my localmachine,
extracted zip folder- it extracts some folders and a plugins folder.
copied all folders into Eclipse-plugins directory and
the plugins(.jars) from extracted plugins folder are copied directly into Eclipse plugins folder.

Adithi.

--not considered "best practice" for installing plug-ins to Eclipse,
should work, however.

If you're still having trouble at this point, I'd suggest you tell me in
terms of my article where things go south.
