Hi,

We develop a version handling plugin.

When we do the following in CDT
properties->c/c++ builders-> and change build configuration.

it triggers a checkout in our plugin but before we get a "Progress Information" Dialog that says, "operation in progress".

When our checkout dialog pops up the Progress Dialog is still there and this will make the whole gui to freeze and Eclipse hangs.

I compared to JDT and there is no Progress Dialog if I change the classpath.

Can anyone explain it to me why there is a Progress Dialog? Is it really necessary?

br,
