Looks like our favorite poster is trying to help the NetBeans people now. I
happened to notice the following in the NetBeans weekly newsletter. He asked
them for a job too. Gotta admire the chutzpah. :) :) :)

"Open Letter to Sun, NetBeans.org Board / Community
Ilias has prepared a proposal to increase the effeciciency of NetBeans.org
within a three month timeframe. The goals he wishes to achieve are to
increase: community code contributions, developer productivity, platform
usage, newcomer adoption-rate and NetBeans product orientation. It is worth
a read through as it is addressed to the NetBeans community.

They weren't as nice to him as we were:

[general remark: please provide a pointer when quoting content]

There are always some people, which have hyper-allergic reactions
against precise rejoinders within public conversation.

I am sure that he will calm down shortly.

However, I am not sure if Sun's talent-detection-mechanisms work
efficiently.

Will see.

A quick google news search shows that Eclipse and Netbeans isn't the only
places "infested" either. I think it's something that is going around :)

Ilias Lazaridis is quite famous in usenet groups and various mailing lists.
He's been annoying/abusing various technology groups at least since 1998.
Look at his resume, http://lazaridis.com/resumes/lazaridis.html, no
academic education, a lot of "evaluation of" jobs. Working mostly in
"experimental",evaluation and failed projects.
So he's been harassing various technology groups for at least 5 years,
he's probably 30 y.o. or more by now.. midlife crisis is nearing, so he
moved into harassing bigger ones like Eclipse and Netbeans...

This guy is like a virus. Don't bother to argue with him, he'll just grow
bigger.
He will go away if he will be ignored.
It's quite deceptive, you may read his posts and think -it's a lot of
text, so it must be good.

You don't know me, Mr. Nick Reid.

Please take care of your wording.

For those of you using OE 6:

- select a message
- got to "Message -> Block Sender..."

OE even offers to remove all existing messages from the blocked sender.

[note to readers: as an example for what the poster meant by "virus
grows bigger when arguing with him" - See this response to a response on
the netbeans forums.]

Re: [EVALUATION] - E11 - Sun Microsystems Board of Directors
http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=871634&li stName=nbusers

[possibly the most intresting thing within this thread is, that the
NetBeans IDE is _not_ open source]
