Recover eclipse IDE menu icons on Gnome [message #694756]

I had this problem and decided to write down here to help people with the same problem.
To get icons in the eclipse ide menu for linux gnome users, do at command line:

$ gconf-editor

go to desktop->gnome->interface and check menus_have_icons in the right side. This will make eclipse present the useful icons in the left side of menu (when that icon is available).
