Are there any tutorials which explain how to connect to an existing website to perform testing. Simplest thing would be to bring up the website's login page and verify login was successful? Also, are there any tutorials which explain Jubula's recording capabilities for developing tests for websites?

There is no tutorial which focuses on web testing. There are chapters in the documentation which might be helpful:

(3.5) Starting and configuring AUT's
(4.4) Testing HTML AUT's

For tutorials on testing in general you should use the Cheat Sheets build into Jubula and read (at least) the following chapters from the User Manual:

(2) Samples: example tests
(5) Best practices

Since we think capture/replay is not well suited for stable tests (please read Alex's rational) we didn't implement Observation Mode for web AUT's. It might be done in a future release but in our opinion there are more important features missing.

I have read through section 4.4 and it is not very helpful. Going through the Cheat Sheets for the simple Adder example took over an hour and really highlighted how difficult it would be to create tests for webapps especially if there is no Cheat Sheet for them. Since Java is so heavily focused on server side technologies I would have expected a webapp/html tutorial would have been the number one priority.

Thank you very much for your comment. We have worked very hard hard, to build Jubula and make it available for free to a great user base. We are sorry, if we can not meet everyone's expectations. We put your comments on our list of things, which have to be done.

If you are under some sort of pressure, and still taking Jubula/GUIdancer into consideration, you might think of professional services or training.
