Hi,

I just read through some material concerning EMF Model
Query. Since I found the provided features quite
interesting I was looking for a text-based editor in order
to write queries (if possible with code completion for
query language and model elements).

Unfortunately I was not able to figure out if such an editor
is available and able to handle arbitrary emf models. Did I
just miss this?

In case nothing similar is available I would probably start
to develop an editor on my own, since I have some
experience with emf but not with textual based editor I
would be happy if somebody could provide me some hints how
to accomplish this task.

Thanks!

Hi Thomas

Perhaps you want to use OCL directly without the extra query wrapper.

The OCL Examples and Editors provide editors for OCL embedded with in
Ecore (the OCLinEcore editor)
or complementary documents (the CompleteOCL editor). There is a Console
in which you can experiment with
queries. The support for these Xtext editors in Helios is useful but
limited. It is much more comprehensive
in Indigo; RC1 imminent.
