Problems connecting: Invalid Element in .....RemoteServerInfo - server Time [message #68095] Wed, 15 April 2009 06:42 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
I have installed
Eclipse 3.4.1
Mylyn 3.1.0
Mylyn JIRA Connector Core 3.1.0
Mylyn JIRA Connector UI 3.1.0

I am trying to connect to the JIRA Test Project site
(http://jira.atlassian.com) as per the instructions here:
http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAEXT/Mylyn

I have a valid login but when I try to Validate Settings I get:

Invalid element in
org.eclipse.mylyn.internal.jira.core.wsdl.beans.RemoteServer Info - server
Time

If I use an invalid login I get: Unable to authenticate with repos. Login
credentials invalid

I've tried googling the error message with no success. Any ideas?

It seems that I am connecting. I can see my existing filters in the Task
List but trying to synchronize gives me the same error:
Invalid Element .......... server Time

The bug is caused by a change in the SOAP API of the latest JIRA release:

269896: Invalid element in
org.eclipse.mylyn.internal.jira.core.wsdl.beans.RemoteServer Info ?
serverTime
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=269896

A fixed version of Mylyn has just been released to the main update site:

http://download.eclipse.org/tools/mylyn/update/extras/

Please try to update the JIRA connector to version 3.1.1 and reopen bug
269896 in case you are still experiencing the problem.
