Hi,
I already reported this to SpringSource staff. I recently evaluated the STS
2.0.0 preview building largely on Mylyn.
When the offered(!) update of Mylyn components via the Update Manager is
finished, STS vanishes as such and you only get a "normal" Java EE Eclipse
with a few extra plugins.
Its dashboard, the task-based tutorials and a few other parts are useless or
gone.
I then did a rollback of the update back to a previous point.
Which brought the dashboard and a few other things back, but e.g. branding
and Icon is still standard Eclipse. Only the splash screen indicates,
you're running STS.
I know, this is not mainly a Mylyn issue, but I also know you work rather
closely in Vancouver or other places. So I guess you may have even a shorter
line to them than the support person in Munich... Not bothering Rod Johnson
with that, I guess he's too busy otherwise, taking he missed 2 consecutive
JCP EC calls ;-|
