Hi
I've trying to install from http://download.eclipse.org/tools/pdt/updates/.
The update manager is complaining about "not a valid jar file".
When I examine the downloaded *.tmp files I find that they contain things like:
<br />
<b>Warning</b>: Unexpected character in input: '' (ASCII=16) state=1 in
<b> /disk4/eclipse/tools/pdt/updates/plugins/org.eclipse.php.cor e_1.0.2.v20080102.jar </b> on line <b>451</b><br />
<br />
<b>Parse error</b>: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in
<b> /disk4/eclipse/tools/pdt/updates/plugins/org.eclipse.php.cor e_1.0.2.v20080102.jar </b> on line <b>451</b><br />
Regards, Noel.

For completeness...
Some of the files for PDT contain the sequence ".php" in their name. The
default configuration for Apache+PHP refers the download request for
these files to PHP for processing. Of course, the file doesn't contain
actual PHP code, so the error you're seeing is the result.
See [1] for more info
Webmaster can ask the offending mirror to update their Apache
configuration to resolve this issue. If you can recall the name of the
mirror you downloaded from, it'd be great if you could drop a note to
webmaster@eclipse.org and let them know.
Thanks,
Wayne
