From the feature matrix as part of the 1.0.0 review process, I see that there is partial gc support, although I haven't seen a description of how its partial. The same matrix also indicates no "repack" support. I'm not altogether clear on the difference between those two, but one or both of those would seem important for receiving pushes on the servlet-side.

If you are using the JGitServlet in JGit 1.0.0 to receive pushes, should you also have native git to occasionally git-gc? If this is the case, what are the side-effects of not using git-gc?

Are there any other known issues or limitations for the servlet?
