Hello all

I try to create new types of binding to be used by WindowBuilder. I'm interested in particular in XWT support but I will prefer a generic mechanism if possible. I know that currently there are two binding rules that can be used in XWT: widget and beans. What I would like is to have support for additional binding rules. One example could be to easy associate a value from a database or another kind of model with a widget text.

I already checked the org.eclipse.wb.rcp.databinding.xwt plugin especially the DatabindingFactory and DatabindingsProvider and I didn't find a simple way to do it, without changing the WB itself, of course.

Any advice on the matter?

XWT bindings has too poor implementation and support only very simple cases.
