Create patch to active task? [message #667594] Fri, 29 April 2011 15:23

Hi All,

I was wondering if there was any way to attach the patch directly to the active task instead of to the clipboard / file / workspace first, then to the task in the task editor.

To get to the menu, right click on a node, team/local -> create patch, and see the options of where to save it to (file / clipboard / project). I typically select clipboard, open the task, upload the patch (selecting the defaults except i select "patch" = true) from the clipboard.

I tried to search for this issue but found nothing, this is the closest I found and none of the dependent tasks contained this:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=211072

I have recently been amazed once again at how useful Mylyn is for my workflow. The apply patch feature is amazing since when you are trying to make sure to apply changes to branches and trunk, any savings in effort is a huge win, and it has already been a massive help.

Thank you for all your great work!
