Convert report from 2.1 to 2.6 [message #667194]

Hi,

I've upgraded recently my BIRT installation to 2.6 from 2.1.

I would like to know if there is a tool or a procedure to convert the old 2.1 report to 2.6.

Hello Fred!
I don't know any procedure or tool for conversion, but I've recently done an upgrade from 2.2 to 2.6 and can share some of the differences I've found and you might want to look out for.

I use BIRT for producing pdf-report so these notes are all connected to pdf.

* Default values of font sizes (small/medium/large) have changed to a larger default size.
* Image property Size = size-to-image is gone. Use the property fit-to-container=true instead.

2.6.1 runtime should still be able to run 2.2 reports. If you make
changes to the reports in the designer it should update them automatically.
