how to configure eclipse UI settings? [message #665707] Fri, 15 April 2011 10:50 Go to next message

Hi,

I just installed eclipse on a ubuntu machine, but the user interface looks very fat - that is, even though I set the system fonts to be small, the eclipse UI still leaves a lot of padding rooms around the fonts and wastes a lot of valuable screen property that could've been used for displaying lines of code. I looked around preferences, but didn't find where I can specify this. Is it possible to make the UI on ubuntu as slim as it is on windows?

please see the enclosed image for a comparison between ubuntu and windows

thanks!

Is there any way to change this? I've tried some custom themes, played around with the CSS files in the plugin folder but with no luck.

Thank you.
