Is there any documentation available for building extensions to WindowBuilder? I wish to generate scripts and XML instead of Java source code.

References to architectural documentation would be a great start.

No docs like that are available yet.

I would suggest looking at the org.eclipse.wb.xwt plugin which implements XWT support (and XML dialect of SWT).
