You're likely looking for the SWT newsgroup(copied).

This newsgroup is for SWTBot which is used for testing SWT (and eclipse)

The tooltip here is the native tooltip and it uses the system's settings for the tooltip. It's font can't be changed from SWT.

One way you can try is to emulate or fake the tool tip. You can create your own tooltip with the font you want to use.
Here is an example snippet that creates fake tooltips for TreeItems --> eclipse.swt.snippets/src/org/eclipse/swt/snippets/Snippet125 .java. The same mechanism can work for ToolBar/ToolItems too.
