[EVL] Hanging when Validate view open [message #659795]

Hello,

If I run an evl file as an EpsilonEVL and have the Epsilon Validation view open my eclipse is hanging. This does not happen if the Validation view is closed, but then I cannot see the validation results.

After the validation is launched I get the output messages in the Validation view, but an eclipse progress window pops showing a "Loading models" progress message and hangs. I can click the cancel button, but nothing happens.

Any ideas?

It seems this only happens if I uncheck the "Launch in Background" options. Is this the intended behavior?

Taking a closer look, the "Launch Validation" operation is still running in the background. I see it in the background status bar as "Launch Validation (100%)" and a moving progress bar.

Hi Horacio,

To stop the validation process, you should click the respective button of the Validation view. The process is kept alive so that users can invoke fixes - but should really terminate by itself in case no fixes are available. Could you perhaps file a bug report for this?
