Hello,

following the description at http:// www.coreservlets.com/Apache-Tomcat-Tutorial/tomcat-7-with-ec lipse.html I set up tomcat7 "within" helios. That gives me the advantage of configuring and starting the server within eclipse and to faster check development results.

When I start the server from within tomcat and then go to the standard browser (e.g. firefox) and select the main site of tomcat (http://localhost:8080) the page index.jsp of tomcat gets loaded. However, any link within that page returns a 404 resource not available error.

What is the cause of that problem and how can I solve it?

When the server is started not within eclipse but by using its own startup.sh - script all pages / links are accessable.

Regards,

Dom

You might find some help here: http://wiki.eclipse.org/WTP_Tomcat_FAQ

Otherwise, this question would be better asked in the Eclipse webtools
forum.
