I have a profile I have defined a connection, and all. how do I connect to a remote system i have already defined? I can't find a connect button or any controlls for it.

You'll probably get more response by asking this in the Target
Management forum group (RSE falls under the Target Management umbrella).
Find it on the Forums home page, under the heading "Eclipse Projects."
