Hi,

I recently setup a shared installation of Eclipse on Ubuntu. Putting it in a read only location seemed all that was required. When a user loads Eclipse they get their own workspace.

I can't replicate this on Windows XP. Making the directory read-only just stops Eclipse of loading altogether. I've read for later versions of windows you can restrict right access for all users on the eclipse folder to get the 'shared' behaviour. On XP I can't see a way to do this. So I've just a made a copy of Eclipse for each user.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
J.
