Is there a way to put in the ini file some preferences that I always want for every workspace? Things like spaces for tabs, code style profile, etc. Is there a list someplace of all the things that can be put in the ini file?

No. That's what preferences are good for. You may use some third party
tool to achieve what you want:
- see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=334016

See File -> Export -> General -> Preferences. Import them into new
workspaces.
