I am interested in creating an installer using P2 infrastructure. Seems like right now, most of the documentation revovles around operation with OSGi based bundles which is great, but for my installer I need to be able to install other artifacts like maven, findbugs, ant, etc...
P2 repository of non osgi artifacts
How can I define a P2 repository for installable units that are NOT osgi bundles? Currently, seems like all the tools only deal with products, features, plugins.
Provisioning non osgi artifacts.
Ok, seems like I need to create my own touchpoints and actions.
I am not sure:
How to configure them.
How to implement them.
I have looked at the eclipse touch point however it is still unclear to me how these pieces actually fit together.
Any information, especially examples would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
