I'm wondering how it is possible to reload the gmfmap Mapping file in GMF, since using the GMF Dashboard does not solve the problem.

Suppose we make a change in the ecore file (add an element to the diagram), the genmodel file offers the possibility to reload the model. By deriving the gmfgraph and gmftool, GMF recognizes automatically which are the changes that have been made in the ecore and you can simply add (not by regenerating!) some more information in these files. Well, how about the gmfmap? I think there should be a possibility to update it, without regenerating it. Because regenerating means creating a new mapping and you lose all the information edited by hand in the mapping (like Design Labels).

How is a "refresh" (update) of the mapping based on an updated model (ecore) possible, without losing any previously changes made by hand in the mapping?

See this page for the same problem. The solution presented there didn't work for me.

Thanks.
