Hiding open files of non-active projects [message #648973] Sun, 16 January 2011 20:15 Go to next message

Hi,

I am working on several Java, C++ and Latex projects in parallel, so easily 30-40 source file tabs are shown above the editor window.

Is there any way to show only the files belonging to the project that is currently marked in the project explorer, and hide all other files?

--- Thx

Um, close those editors/tabs?
There is also a handy feature that will automatically close editors for
you when you reach a certain number of open ones. See Preferences >

Finally, you might be interested in enabling Mylyn - it's a task-focused
UI for Eclipse that associates your "current working context" with many
aspects of the Eclipse UI (including the file editors that are open).
See http://www.eclipse.org/mylyn/start/ to get started.
