Hi,

could anyone confirm, please, that at least the first p2.director example is working?

It finishes without errors, but gmf stuff doesn't show up in "Eclipse Installation Details" dialog.

UPD #1. At least one positive report from irc:

3.6.1 SDK build for win32 x86 works fine against this:

eclipsec.exe -consolelog -application org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director -repository http://download.eclipse.org/releases/helios/ -installIU org.eclipse.gmf.sdk.feature.group

UPD #2: the above invocation works also for author's case, whereas the example script with all those explicit CLI-arguments still fails as described!

It doesn't work as is, even if you feed in a 3.6 SDK to match the helios
update site it uses. I've fiddled with the destination, the
eclipseRoot, and the bundlepoolDir. To be honest, I think the director
is the incorrect app for this usecase.

But if you are using the director, you probably want to install directly
into your eclipse.

A better way would be to use the mirror applications to create a p2 repo
in the dropins folder, if you still don't want to actually install GMF
into eclipse/dropins
