[CDO + Teneo] Use CDO with Teneo 1.1.2 or 1.2.0 ? [message #646539] Tue, 28 December 2010 02:15 Go to next message

In CDO Wiki http://wiki.eclipse.org/CDO/Hibernate_Store/Quick_Start
it uses Teneno 1.2.0 with CDO 3.0.

However in Teneo wiki http://wiki.eclipse.org/Teneo/Hibernate
CDO 3.0 should use Teneo 1.1.2.

Which one is correct?

And if I want to start using CDO today, which one should I use:
a. CDO 3.0 + Teneo 1.1.2
b. CDO 3.0 + Teneo 1.2.0
c. CDO 4.0 + Teneo 1.2.0 ?

Thank you!

The final answer will certainly come from Martin...

The CDO manifests show for both 3.0 and 4.0:
Import-Package: org.eclipse.emf.teneo;version="[1.1.2,2.0.0)"

Note that CDO 4.0 will only be GA/final with the Indigo release next June. If you don't plan to go productive before that we'd appreciate that you use CDO 4.0 milestone or integration builds.

Cheers

Teneo has one build which is currently the 1.2.0 version. So with CDO you can use that latest version.

Thanks Martin.

Does that mean the information like:

"NOTE: CDO Hibernate Store users should use the Teneo 1.1.2/Hibernate
3.3.2 version (see update site below)."

http://wiki.eclipse.org/Teneo/Hibernate/Download_and_Install

can be updated so that it reflects Teneo 1.2.0 can work with CDO 3.0
just fine?

I'd like to update the wikis but need confirmation from the powers that
be. :)

Thanks.

Hi Hendy,
The correct answer is now:
Teneo 1.2.0 and then the CDO-Teneo feature/category (see the update site) and Hibernate 3.3.2 to 3.5 (not 3.6).

I will spend some time later to upgrade CDO 4.0 to use Hibernate 3.6.
