changed default "springsource" password for "admin" user to "admin" in org.eclipse.virgo.kernel.users.properties and tried to connect remote jconsole by giving "admin" as username and "admin" as password, but it is not connecting

Is this is a limitation in virgo web server?

Hi,

This should be working.

Were you able to log on in the first place with the springsource password?

Have you consulted ( http://www.eclipse.org/virgo/documentation/virgo-documentati on-2.1.0.RELEASE/docs/virgo-user-guide/html/ch04s04.html). To achieve what you have described you should have, just to confirm.

Finally, could you tell me if the Admin Console picked up the new password, could you login to that?

Thanks for your reply.

I have done exactly what u mentioned. But after this change remote jconsole is not connecting with username "admin" and password "admin".

I've tried the scenario and this worked ok for me.

What I've done:
1) changed user from springsource to admin
2) started Virgo with -jmxport 9090
3) started jconsole.bat
4) choose remote connection and entered localhost:9090
5) filled admin / admin in user / password fields

jconsole connected as expected

Is this what you are trying to do or you have something else in mind?
