A newbie or in fact may be a weird question...

I am using BIRT 2.5.1

I need to generate the report report as a text file - keeping the format in tact - its more like a fixed length file.

I would like to attach the sample report output, how can I do that ?

Is this possible to do in BIRT ?

If you're generating the equivalent of a fixed-line-length output, then your best bet is to put all of the output (properly spaced) into a single string field and make that field the only output field in your dataset. Then you can run the report and export that data set to CSV.
