Is it just me or is the main download URL down?

http://download.eclipse.org/egit/updates/

The site.xml file is 404'ing.

Anyone have any idea when it will be back up?

This seems to be happening a lot these days. Apparently, the
download.eclipse.org URLs now automatically forward to mirror sites. Those
sometimes haven't (yet?) picked up the site you want and you get a 404 (e.g.
right now I get redirected to carroll.aset.psu.edu, which doesn't have egit).

This happens to me all across the board, not just with the egit site. So I
guess the egit folks can't do much about it...

(But I believe there isn't a site.xml on the egit site anyway, just
content.jar and artifacts.jar)

As we provide a p2 repository and not an old-fashioned update site there is no site.xml but just the usual content.jar and artifacts.jar for a p2 repository. Why do you need site.xml ? EGit supports Eclipse >= 3.5, these versions should all be able to use p2.
