Hi,

I want to use the EMF Compare. I have already an ecore file which is managed by svn. If I choose "Compare With" -> "Latest from Revision" I get on the left side the remote version and on the right side the local one. Shouldn't be this the other way round?
Usually you have buttons like "Copy Current Change from Right to Left". My compare editor shoes me only "Show Ancestor Pane", "Select Next Change" and "Select Previous Change".

I'm using Helios, but I can remember that this worked out under Galileo. Why do I don't get the other buttons. What I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,
Adrian

Hi Adrian,

You won't get the "copy" buttons in the compare pane if we didn't manage
to load the model with a "path" to save to. Typically, this is the case
when using SVN as they only provide us with a stream to read the model
from (and thus, we have no way to push changes back to this stream).

If you use CVS, you'll have the "copy" buttons right off the bat, if you
use Subversive (SVN plugin), you need to install the "EMF Compare
subversive integration" feature we provide (for version 1.1.1, it can be
downloaded from here
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/modeling /emf/compare/downloads/drops/1.1.1/S201009150234/emf-compare -subversive-integration-SDK-1.1.1.zip
), Subclipse should also work right off the bat.
