How to uninstall Mylyn from Helios for Java EE [message #629036] Sun, 26 September 2010 12:04 Go to next message

Got Mylyn with Helios for Java EE but I don't want to use it and with default config it's getting very very annoying, expanding everything, interface flickers and flashes and focus jumps all over the place - I need to remove it to restore my sanity.

"Help --> About Eclipse --> Installation Details --> Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers --> Java EE IDE Feature" contains among other things
- Mylyn Bridge: Eclipse IDE
- Mylyn Bridge: Java Development
- Mylyn Connector: Bugzilla
- Mylyn Task List (Required)
- Mylyn Task-Focused Interface (Recommended)
- Mylyn WikiText

Selecting either of these doesn't enable Uninstall button.

Several other plugins had features which integrate with Mylyn - I've uninstalled all these features.

Closing "Task List" view, turning "Mylyn Tasks UI" and "Mylyn Team UI" off in "Window --> Preferences --> General --> Startup and Shutdown --> Plug-ins activated on startup", and restarting with -clean didn't help - UI focusing still works, and Uninstall doesn't get enabled for Mylyn features. Is deleting features and plug-ins manually from the filesystem the only option?
