Hi,

I am working to create a UML profile that contains several specialized
components, connectors and ports (yes they are stereotypes created in a
Profile). The plan is to apply the profile in a model and then let the end
user decide which port stereotype to be applied on a component. The
problem is that i can not create a standalone port stereotype. At the
moment, i can create a port as 'ownedPort' for a component only. Is it a
UML restriction? How can i create a Profile that lets the user create a
'Input' stereotype for a Port and then let the end-user decide to which
Component this 'Input' port should belong to.

Thanks
Waqas
