Hi guys,

Is it possible to auto-magically create EMF models from raw XML? Seems like it should be possible, but I'm not sure of workflow..something like XML->WSDL->XSD->EMF or perhaps there is a more direct route?

cheers,

Miles

Hello Miles,

Here is a discover for xml files:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/MoDisco/Components/XML

To test it, I recommend this installation guide:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/MoDisco/Installation

So it works in a generic way for xml files, but if you have a dtd or an xsd, it would be better to specialize the EMF model to have a higher level of semantics.

Regards,
Gabriel

That's perfect, thanks Gabriel. Normally I would use the XSD but this allows creation of automated tools for inclusion of non-XSD xml.
