Hi everybody, as discussed with Ed Merks in this
thread, I was wondering how to make XSD types available for UML models
editing.
The
available types options while modeling UML are UML, Ecore, Default,
Standard, the ones available in the current model, and the ones
available in other applied profiles, so I cannot choose XML Schema data
types while editing the models.

The reason for this would be to avoid having a dependency on Ecore.xsd
schema file, as the one currently introduced by the use of UML
primitive types (this generates some validation problems which are
pointless to mention here). Is there a simple way to do this?.

Thank you all in advance.
Regards,
