Is it possible to Data Bind to non-GUI odjects [message #624093] Tue, 13 April 2010 14:35 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
I have an application where I need some data structures updated from a model, but I do not want to sidplay them.

Can I dat bind to something other than a GUI object?

I tried binding to a class that implements IObservableValue. It is possible to bind to the class in the bindingContext.bindValue call, but I do not know how to get the data.

Is this the correct forum for this question? If not, please let me know.

Thanks.

Hi Herb,

Probably not -- this forum is for help on the Help system itself. Eclipse Data-Binding is part of JFace, so you might try over there or just on Platform.

cheers,

Miles
