Hello group

is it possible to use ecf skype without skype client running in a
machine ? How can i listen to incoming skype chat messages in ECF when
running ecf and skype client as at the moment it is going into my skype
window. apologies if this sound a bit basic.

No, not at the moment. The current ECF skype provider is based upon
skype4java, which is a java interface to the skype client.

Currently, incoming messages will go to both places (skype and ECF). We
can easily turn off having messages go to skype (from the skype4java
API), but we simply haven't done this as a) it's been useful for
debugging; b) some people don't mind/prefer it this way.

It could/should probably be a preference or option, though, to turn off
having incoming messages go to skype client window when ECF is running.
