Is it possible to add another icon/button to the root welcome page of
Eclipse Workbench (like 'Overview', 'Samples', etc)?

If yes then how?

I am able to contribute to second level pages (e.g. Overview, Samples),
but want a link/button from root page to provide switching to my plugin's
perspective.

Please help
