Hi,
I was looking for a graphical Ecore editor. Ed Merks told me to have a
look at the Ecore Tools proposal.
Here are some needs (requirements) for such an editor:
1) Be able to add dependencies to models located either in workspace or in
target platform (as the Load resource from the Sample Ecore editor).
2) Multi-diagram support, navigation between diagrams and sub-diagrams.
2bis) Multi packages support with navigation in their related diagrams.
3) Diagrams serialized in their own files independent from the ecore ones.
4) GMF L&F.
5) Be able to open diagrams located either in workspace or in target
platform (ie use URIEditorInput rather than FileEditorInput)
6) Export diagrams in different image formats : GIF, PNG, SVG,...
7) "Delete from diagram" & "Delete from model" features.
8) Initialize a diagram content from an existing ecore (Improvement of the
Topcased initialization algorithm would be appreciated, eUML2 does better
that)
9) Have the possibility to hide (or show) some diagram parts :
relationships between metaclasses by type (association, aggregation...),
attributes...
I know that most of these needs are already fulfilled by Topcased Ecore
editor.
Hope it helps,
Stephane.
