Hi All,
I am the Technical Director for a small company that produces an ERP for
small sales companies. I have spent some time in the past experimenting
with the development of thin-client UIs based on SWT, specifically
Remote SWT. In the past I also developed JLense which is essentially a
Swing-based implementation of the Eclipse Workbench.
I think that Eclipse community needs a framework for developing server
applications with thin-client UIs based on the RCP. I would like to be
able to someday deploy our application as BOTH a web-based application
AND a thin-client application that uses a SWT-based 'presentation
engine'. And maybe even as a fat standalone RCP application as well.
It sounds to me like RAP would make this possible.
Therefore I am interested in contributing to RAP.
I am especially interested in helping to develop full SWT and JFace
compatibility and in the development of the Web Workbench.
