I am a long term Eclipse user, but had missed out on Mylyn. When I
installed Europa I was looking through the new goodies and found Mylyn
and thought it looked interesting.
We use Trac and Subversion (with Subclipse). I have the connector
to the trac server working, and subclipse works, but I am having a
problem understanding what I have to do to get changesets working. If
it matters I am running under Linux (KDE Debian-sid) with Sun Java 6.
I found the Mylyn_User_Guide, and got to the bit about changesets.
Well the first bit I found was under Eclipse Settings, Team, first bullet.
If I go into the syncronize view I do not see toolbar button Show Change
Sets (what is it supposed to look like?).
Then under submitting contexts it says to Attach the context, which I did
but nothing changed.
As I am running SVN I understand under the Team Support section that
Subclipse only supports standard mode. But I do not understand the
significance of this.
Also I am unclear about how I put something into a changeset, and how
I then check in the whole lot at once.
I thought that Mylyn just noticed that I was working on a task, watched
that I was doing and noticed that I had changed some local files, and then
when I checked them in (maybe I checked in the wrong thing) would submit
the whole changeset.
I guess I missed something.
