Is anyone using RAP for live (production) applications? If so, could
they share experiences?

Hi Mark,

We (Innoopract) are running a RAP based application called
eclipsediscovery (http://eclipsediscovery.yoxos.com)
since a couple of month in production. We have a couple of thousand
users every day. In the beginning it has been a little bit rough, but
now it works out pretty well. We have two tomcat workers behind an
apache httpd, this gives us the flexibility and performance we need. The
workers are configured with 1GB of memory each, which is plenty. We keep
some large models in memory for performance reasons, they are identical
for all users. Data access is extremely fast as expected. We developed
two custom widgets: ClickLabel and transparent Shell. It took us some
time to make sure that we do not send out more JavaScript to the client
for those custom widgets then necessary.

Thanks for the feedback!

At my daytime work we are developing an RCP application. I saw RAP and
thought I might be able to use it for my sideline work (and reuse my RCP
knowledge). If my partner likes what it does and thinks it will work for
what we are trying to do (and my partner only really knows what we are
trying to do - at least at this moment) then I am going to go with it.

Honest, RAP looks and functions pretty good.

Hi Mark,

Currently we are implementing a critical project in the defence area for one
of the largest helicopter companies in the world. As you may understand, due
to several security restrictions, I can only declare that we using RAP and
Eclipse Equinox runtime to base all our development.
