Total Immersion Software in Alameda, CA is looking for extremely bright,

We're using Eclipse as the foundation of our user tools framework and all
of our tools development will touch Eclipse in some manner, whether it's
extending Eclipe functionality or providing plug-ins for SOA applications.

Essential Functions:

1. Work with product design to create detailed functional requirements for
the tools framework, services infrastructure and graphical user interface.
2. Evaluate and recommend best development and architectural approaches
including levering the Eclipse framework.
3. Lead the tools framework team by providing technical leadership,
reviewing designs and code and running the daily scrum meetings.
4. Write tons of great code that serves as the core of our service and
tools framework.

Education/Experience/Knowledge:

1. BS/MS Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
2. At least 5 years experience as a senior software engineer, architect or
team lead.
3. Experienced in Eclipse development, ideally in the RCP.
4. Highly skilled in Java development. Direct experience in the following
technologies and environments: Hibernate, JSP, Struts, Spring, Tapestry,
SOAP/XML, Tomcat, JUnit, Log4j, MySQL, Linux, Windows 2003 Server. Eclipse
extension or plug-in development and C++ experience a plus.

Core Competencies:
1. Outstanding architecture, modeling, design and coding skills.
2. Superior mentoring skills with technically strong individuals and the
ability to gain team consensus.
3. The ability to rapidly assess design alternatives and converge on
pragmatic solutions.
4. Must be able to design and write secure code.
5. Direct experience leading an Agile development team.
6. Must be well versed and experienced in a test-driven development
environment
7. Strong work ethic; extremely organized and detail-oriented.
