Hi,
Is there a simple example of an ODA consumer available? Although an
example is always made of BIRT, BIRT is so huge and I have no idea where
in the source to start looking for the relevant code.

I am aware of the wiki entry, "Use case - Consuming ODA Data Sources"
( http://wiki.eclipse.org/Use_Case_-_Consuming_ODA_Data_Source s), but
this has only scant information and then links to BIRT.

Is a basic, preferably standalone code sample available? Perhaps in test
code somewhere?

Chris,

There are JUnit tests on the oda.consumer.helper implementation, but not
sure if it would serve as the kind of example that you are looking for.
They are in DTP CVS under
HEAD/org.eclipse.datatools.connectivity/tests/org.eclipse.da tatools.connectivity.oda.consumer.test*
..

As for where to look in BIRT source, they are in the
"org.eclipse.birt.data.engine.odaconsumer" package under the
"org.eclipse.birt.data" plugin project.
