http://help.github.com/egit-corruption/ warns people away from using egit. But it references 0.7 version.

Is this still an issue? if not someone should ask github to update their scary page, which ends with:

Avoiding future corruption

We recommend users avoid using egit to push their repos. Always push from the command line.

We fixed the issue in 0.8.4 so it shouldn't be an issue anymore. It
would be great if they would update their page too :/

Cheers,
