Teneo: Any way to leave DB data dictionary alone when establishing a HbDataStore? [message #55947] Mon, 02 October 2006 22:12 Go to next message

Currently, it seems that when a HbDataStore, the DB data dictionary (table
definitions) will be updated to match the Hibernate mapping.
Some DB administrators want to control when the data dictionary is changed.
They don't want it changed when the application starts
Is there a way of supporting this with Teneo?
Note that we have a separate mechanism of validating whether the
application's version of the model is compatible with the DB's data
dictionary.
Thanks,
-mike

Mike,
There is an option to control this. See here:
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.java.emf.persistency/535/ focus=535

(it's your own post ;-). Let me know if this option does not work in your case.
