It would be nice to be able to use :local: for cvs format. This is allowed on eclipse hudson for instance for repos synching. I'm not sure if it is buckminster that has the problem with it or what it's invoking but this is what the log shows:

ERROR [0001] : Rejecting provider cvs({0},org.eclipse.amp/org.eclipse.amp/features/org.eclipse.amp.build[:local:/cvsroot/modeling,org.eclipse.amp/org.eclipse.amp/features/org.eclipse.amp.build]): No component match was found
ERROR Invalid CVS repository location format: :local:/cvsroot/modeling
ERROR Location must have form ':methodname:[user[:password]@]host:[port]/path/to/cvsroot'
ERROR Only the following methods are supported: ext, extssh, pserver, pserverssh2

Hi Miles,

Buckminster relies on the Eclipse Team CVS support. Unfortunately the
local type is not implemented there.
